Plenty

Arrive on a little island with your friends. Make an axe, cook over a fire, keep a chest of your own. Build cottages, power them, teach a datacentre to do the gathering for you. Grow. When the island is used up, the Plenty Cooperative has another world ready. It has five.

The five worlds

  1. world 1

    Earth

A meadow island with a pond, a few groves and an old oak.

Survive, build a home, power a town. Furnaces are strong; their smoke kills groves.

    Stock: timber, stone, fresh water

  2. world 2

    Mars

Rust dunes over buried ice. Nothing runs outside a dome.

Suit air runs out outside a dome. Domes and datacentres drink the same buried ice.

    Stock: regolith, iron, buried ice

  3. world 3

    The Sun

Collector platforms in the corona. The star itself is the deposit.

Power pours in, and so does heat. Past the limit, scoops throttle and the platforms hurt.

    Stock: plasma, magnetics, shade

  4. world 4

    The Solar System

Asteroids, comets and two spent worlds, under a dead star.

No sunlight: every machine drinks the Bottled Sun. Relays link miners to the Depot.

Stock: volatiles, asteroid metal, comet ice

  5. world 5

    The Universe

Galaxies as deposits. Your old worlds hum along as compute.

Your spent worlds hum along as engines. If everyone agrees, you can stop.

Stock: starlight, stellar cores, dark cold

A world moves on when every deposit on it is gone. Nothing you've finished comes back.
